So I lost twelve pounds last month...
I did, I really did. Why doesn't that seem like a lot, though? I worked hard, I practiced *gasp!* self control, and I'm proud of the results. Still though...
Logically, I know that the science-y types tell you to aim for one pound a week for healthy weight loss. Going by that scale, it would take roughly one million years to achieve my goal. Of course, that's just a tad dramatic. Maybe more than a tad.
If I can keep up the 10 pounds a month routine, that's 120 pounds in a year. That's a lot of weight, and is over what I need to lose, but we can all dream of heroin-chic, right? Ok, not really. I want to lose weight and shape up, but I don't want to lose weight so quickly that I wind up with excess skin.
My exercise plan so far has been working through a boot-camp program on my iPhone. It was free, and I absolutely love. I also am doing a couch to 5k program (also through my iPhone). Wish me luck!
